Inforce Policy Access & Illustrations Unavailable July 23 – 26!
Due to a system upgrade, access to ING Life Companies’ inforce life insurance policies will not be available from midnight CDT on Friday night, July 23rd, through 8:00 a.m. CDT on Monday morning, July 26th. This means that you will not be able to access inforce policy information using any of the following systems during this time:
  • Inforce Policy Access on the ING for Professionals website (only for Policy Numbers ending with a digit 0 – 9; all other policies will be available)
  • Inforce Illustration Express on the ING for Professionals website
  • Inforce Illustration Downloads on ING Presents
  • Voice Response Unit (VRU)
  • ING Service Center (for policyholders)
Due to the extensive nature of this upgrade, a small number of policies may not be available to download for inforce illustrations through the following week as well. By Monday, August 2nd, all policies should again be available.

This upgrade is very important and will result in our ability to better deliver information to you relating to the inforce business you are servicing with the ING life companies. We appreciate your patience as we get this upgrade in place.

The LIAM Company Planning Toolkit (www.lifehappens.org/liamcompanykit) is now available. Use it to pull together your plans for the September campaign.

LIFE Lessons Scholarship Voting is Underway
The annual online vote has just launched, where the LIFE Foundation asks the industry and public to help determine which of three college-age students is most deserving of the top scholarship in the Video Entry category. Through the LIFE Lessons program, they award scholarships to students who are struggling to pay for college because their parents died with little or no life insurance. The three young people featured in the online vote have already been awarded $2,500 scholarships. The student whose story receives the most online votes will receive an additional $2,500 in scholarship money.
Votes can be cast at www.lifehappens.org/vote. The deadline to vote is Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at 5PM Eastern.

Spokesperson Announcement to be Made Shortly
People are eager to know who the new LIAM celebrity spokesperson is, and the LIFE Foundation is just as eager to share the exciting news. They are just waiting for the spokesperson to approve the announcement press release, and then it will be issued. They’ve already conducted their recording session, and the TV and radio PSAs are shaping up nicely. They’re also making final edits to the spokesperson’s "message to the industry," which will be distributed to you shortly after the press announcement is made.
