NAFA has engaged Blank Rome Government Relations LLC to promote
legislative action to overturn 151A. In addition, the Coalition for
Indexed Products has also hired lobbying firms to help with the legislative
effort. NAFA is ready, willing and able to work with any and all partners
who join us in the fight to overturn 151A. Blank Rome contacted Congressman Meeks’
office to discuss the impact of multiple lobbyists and was told “the more the merrier.
We need industry support and as long as everyone is working to get cosponsors
of this bill, we're fine."
We know that your financial resources and time are
limited. NAFA needs to raise at least $100,000 to fight this
fight. Contributions you make to NAFA 151A Opposition Fund will be used
solely by NAFA to pay for the associations’ lobbying activities.
Recently, you may have received a communication from the Coalition
announcing their “IMO Grass Roots Action Team” and a request for
contributions to their separate lobbying activities. NAFA has expended a
great deal of resources to overturn 151A. NAFA needs your support now
