Effective January 11, 2010, NWL® Income Outlook Plus 5 GMWBR will be available for sale ushering in the next generation of income riders and representing a significant upgrade to the entire National Western Life fixed index annuity portfolio. This rider has been a long time coming and through all of the trial and tribulations we battled in developing this new innovative concept I am extremely happy to be delivering a rider that not only addresses our client’s future income concerns but also enhances the overall performance of each indexed annuity.

The NWL® Income Outlook Plus 5 is the perfect compliment to NWL®’s original income rider the Income Outlook; that will remain available for you to use and continue to be a popular choice. Both offer an annual 5% rollup for your clients income account while the new NWL® Income Outlook Plus 5 version offers a day one 5% PREMIUM BONUS, not just an income bonus but, a true premium bonus. What that means is the NWL® Ultra Future with a 10% premium bonus may now be offered at 15% bonus by adding this version of our rider. Products like the NWL Ultra Classic® and NWL® Global Lookback that do not have first year bonuses now can be sold with a 5% premium enhancement.
